I created this Twitter bot which tweets words that are published in bioRxiv abstracts for the first time.

Metric System

Under this pseudonym I produce and mix electronic music. My style is melodic techno and I’m influenced by DJ’s such as Stephan Bodzin, Lane 8, and Bicep.

Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown in Minecraft

During the COVID-19 lockdown me and some colleagues build the Champalimaud Centre for the Unkown in Minecraft. Were we so eager to return to the lab? Or just bored? Who knows.

Game of Thrones Podcast

Together with some fellow Game of Thrones nerds we started a podcast called ‘Een Fris en Vurig Liedje’, which is a terribly clever pun if you know how to speak Dutch. We started small and slowly build our listener base until episodes now attract thousands of listeners. It was such a success we won the price for Best Independent Dutch Podcast in 2018!

Real or fake Donald Trump?

We live in a world in which it is increasingly difficult to discern truth from fiction. Trump is actively promoting this. To see if machine learning can help I wrote a Twitter bot that predicts whether tweets are from Trump or from a parody account.
